2016 has been a great year for Alaska halibut fishing! Kevin, our deckhand, hoists this 90-pound halibut for an elated client who fished on a halibut/rockfish combo trip out of Homer Alaska.
On that day we caught limits of halibut, yelloweye rockfish and black rockfish. Small halibut seen on deck are "unders", which by regulation, one of two halibut per-angler must be 28 inches or smaller.
